Levy & Salomão at the 6th Biennial Technology Law Conference, in Berlin

 On november 7th, Levy & Salomão partner Simone Lahorgue Nunes will be Session Chair of a panel at the 6th Biennial Technology Law Conference. The event is presented by the IBA Technology Law Committee.

Simone will participate in the “Trending topics on the GDPR and other national data protection laws: from cross-border issues to adjustments on companies’ internal policies”, alongside Elisa Henry (Borden Ladner Gervais), Roland Mathys (Schellenberg Wittmer), Jens Wollesen (Scout24-Group) and Robert Stankey (Davis Wright Tremaine) as speakers.

Topics such as local data protection/ privacy legal frameworks of Switzerland, Canada, USA, the EU and Latin America; challenges associated with adequacy decisions negotiation and implementation; extraterritorial effects of data protection/privacy laws; and tensions between regulatory investigations and data protection laws will be explored at the panel.
