Thais practice is mainly focused on highly complex and strategic disputes, especially domestic and international arbitration. She has a solid track record in complex cases involving disputes related to the energy, construction, and oil and gas sectors, as well as corporate and securities disputes in proceedings seated in Brazil, in the United Kingdom and in France, conducted in accordance with the arbitration rules of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), the Center for Arbitration and Mediation of the Chamber of Commerce Brazil-Canada (CAM-CCBC), the CIESP/FIESP Chamber for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration, the Market Arbitration Chamber (CAM), among others.
Her experience also includes advising financial institutions, investors, bondholders, fiduciary agents, directors, shareholders and companies in crisis, in situations related to corporate insolvency in general, including judicial and extrajudicial reorganization proceedings, bankruptcies, debt restructuring, training and execution of guarantees and purchase and sale of assets of distressed companies.
