In celebration of Equality Now’s 27th anniversary, LS partner Simone Lahorgue Nunes attended the Make Equality Reality 2019 Gala along with artists, writers, musicians and women’s rights activists. Margaret Atwood and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie are some of the guests who gave speeches on the importance of equal rights.
Equality Now is a non-governmental organization founded in 1992 looking to “achieve legal and systemic change that addresses violence and discrimination against women and girls around the world”. It is one of the projects that Levy & Salomão supports through the provision of free legal services.
